Fiord – Keen String (Timothy Allan Remix)
by TA on Jan.08, 2010, under Releases, TA

Out now on Open Records is a remix i’ve done for the Fiord boys which was one of the winners of their remix contest they held a while back. I’m just waiting for the mastered version and you’ll be able to check a preview and hit up Beatport if you are… keen on it… HARHAR! Beatport link is HERE and the official release info is below:
It is in this party spirit that Open Records is giving our fans both at home and abroad a special Christmas treat in the shape of Fiord’s Keen String Remixes EP, featuring 7 top tracks including four winners from our remix competition earlier this year.
The end result was almost overwhelming and with over 200 entries from all corners of the globe, we decided the standard was so high to declare four equal winners in a variety of styles to join Open Records artists Fiord, GMJ and Eegor on our final release for 2009.
Canadian-born, Melbourne-based producer Timothy Allan immediately impressed with his sophisticated melodic progressive house interpretation, while another Melbourne producer, Blinky, also proved he is a name to watch with a driving progressive techno bomb.
Mexico’s Interactive Noise caught our ear with a big outdoor festival stormer, while New Zealand act Opiuo rounds the EP off in spectacular style with a glitchy, bass-heavy broken beat monster that has been tried and tested at events all over the globe.
Open Records are proud to work with these exciting artists and thanks everyone for their efforts in the Keen String Remix Competition.

The Sargents – Amphibian (Timothy Allan Remix)
by TA on Nov.25, 2009, under Uncategorized
Supported by acts such as Joop (NL), Stonebridge (SWE), Martijn ten Velden (NL), Meck (UK), Steve Murano (DE), Beat Vandals (UK), Pedro M (USA), Tony Puccio (USA), The Sargents are busting out of Melbourne, with an eye firmly on the European dance landscape.
The Sargents’ debut EP, The Overflow, released July 2009 on Alicia Records, has been an underground sensation, reaching no. 3 overall on TrackItDown (no. 1 most purchased progressive house track), charting on DJ Downloads, DJ Tunes and several other stores, and selected as the “Summer Hit” for Virgin Megastores in Germany, France and Switzerland. Mostly recently, the track has been played across the global, including by one of the biggest DJs in the world, Markus Schulz.
My Amphibian remix is a tech proggy stabby builder of a tune, to be released with the package in early January 2010 on Alicia Records. The preview below will have to suffice until you can get your hands on the real deal!

Ex-plosion feat Tiff Lacey – Intimacy (Timothy Allan Remix)
by TA on Nov.10, 2009, under Promo, TA
Produced by Russia’s Ex-plosion with remixes by UK’s Avatar One, France’s Westhill & Alenza, Canada’s Australian transplant Timothy Allan, Uruguay’s Gabriel Robella, Nyc’s A-Luv and Dave Rosario and last but not least, Chicago’s own Barringon Lawrence.
Tiff delivers once again with her trademark vocals which I’ve remixed into a mellow, chill out kind of track… I think works quite well! It’s just started promo and will be released shortly.
Check the preview below the image for a chillaxing taste of the remix.

Timothy Allan – ‘Au Naturale’
by TA on Sep.16, 2009, under Promo, TA

Here’s a progressive house track which will be making its debut appearance on a forthcoming compilation CD entitled “Exploring Australia” on Baroque Records. Baroque records continue the ‘exploring..’ series from Australia. This one is compiled by Matt Rowan, and it contains a whole lot of Australian based talent including the occasional immigrant like myself ![]()

Making an appearance on the CD are the Progress Inn boys, who provided me with a fantastic remix for my “Buckyball” release on Beatgeek Records earlier on, Jaytech who needs no introduction, and even my chum Neon Stereo whom I remixed a while back with the “Discolights” track out on Play Digital. It’s a smorgasboard of Aussie action!
As well as a digital release, there is also going to be a USB stick and a physical CD which you can get your proggy mitts on after the release date. This is scheduled for release at the end of October 2009.
Update: It’s been released as BARQCD016 and is now available in digital and USB stick formats from http://www.baroquerecords.com

#18 UK Buzz Chart

A while ago I was asked to do a remix for the re-release of the Loverush UK! single ‘Fountains Of Youth’.
At the time I wasn’t aware of who the vocalist was on it, I just thought it was a great track. While I was working on it, I had some crazy Deja Vu. I knew I had worked with the vocalist before but couldn’t figure out where from.
After a bit of the google, I found out that the vocals were none other than the lovely Molly Bancroft (the voice behind Club Anthems such as Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Tracking Treasure Down’ and Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune Gianluca Motta’s ‘Not Alone’ on BBC Radio 1).
Way back when, I had entered a remix competition for G&D’s ‘Tracking Treasure Down’, a few months before that single was released… which I didn’t win! So now I get a second shot at remixing Bancroft. Ha.
It’s gaining huge support from international DJs including DJ Slang, Suzy Solar, Sapphirecut, DJ Vierro, Johan Gielan, Mazza & Martinelli, Matt Darey, Steve Smart, Menno De Jong, Roger Sanchez, Mark Brown (MYNC Project), Mike Pickering, Mark Robinson (Peppermint Jam), Pedro Del Mar, Aldrin Quek, mark Lewis, Mr Sam and the Sucker DJs to name a few.

There is a dub-strumental, plus a full vocal mix for a total bouncing house selection that caters to whatever type of crowd your playing for.
Update: The US Promotion has started through Sea to Sun Records, keep an ear open and an eye out for this new promo image!
Update Deux: It’s been released on Beatport and featured on the progressive house section. Check it out.
Update Three: It’s been released and promo’d worldwide now on iTunes and Amazon.

Anton Neumark & Re Zone – Transformers (Timothy Allan Remix)
by TA on Aug.03, 2009, under Uncategorized
Another tech house remix done for Paul Oakenfolds Perfecto label. This belter of a tune was done by the team of Anton Neumark & Re Zone and mangled by myself. The remix is a dirty tech/progressive remix with a grimy synth riff and plenty of builds to keep everyone happy. Details on these two guys are scarce, or in Russian… both of which make things tricky. Peep the preview below.
Update: Perfecto Black has now released the track on Beatport for purchase.

Timothy Allan and Marcie – ‘Stranger in the Dark’

On top of that you get a few stonkin remixes, including vocal and instrumental versions of the Frank Knight Remix which was tearing it up at this years WMC, plus a second full vocal remix by Joseph Michaels!

Ash – ‘True Love 1980′ (Timothy Allan Remix)
by TA on Jun.24, 2009, under Promo, TA
With 18 Top 40 hits, Ash are one of the most successful ‘singles bands’ of recent times, consistently bothering our charts and airwaves with their distinctive, lovable and inventive pop. Rumor has it that they’ve sold over 8 million albums worldwide.
I’ve just completed a remix for the bands upcoming single “True Love 1980″, and what a treat it was. It turned out kind of retro with a definite 80’s feel, with bits that could be found in something along the lines of New Order/Depeche Mode/Pet Shop Boys.
This one just spent a month on the DMC charts topping at #11 on the DMC charts.
Update: The remix and dubstrumental are now for sale on Beatport!

Tiff Lacey – Someone Like You (Timothy Allan Remix)
by TA on Jun.13, 2009, under Promo, TA
It’s Tiff Lacey remix time!
Tiff has worked with heavy weights such as Headstrong, ATB, The Flash Brothers, Conjure One, Matt Darey, Lost Witness and Tenishia to name a small selective few. Tiff is now set to rock with the massive pop/dance hybrid “Someone Like You” produced by Pink Flood (aka Shane54).
The original of ‘Someone Like You’ is a heavenly slice of vocal trance laced with a beautiful chord structure, mesmerising riff and fused beautifully together with the catchy lyrics of Tiff Lacey. I’ve taken that original and made it a bit more bangtastic… According to Loverush Digital, I have delivered a progressive house masterpiece
.
Feedback has been great so far from peeps like Matt Darey, Armin van Buurin, Suzy Solar, Paul Hughes and Mr. Sam giving it big points.
Just in case you were wondering, yes, I’ve also done up a dub mix for you guys who dig the track sans vocals.
Both tracks are now available at Beatport !
Update: The track has just gone #1 on the DMC World Trance Charts.

I’ve done this remix of a track made by my new chum Nick Murray and my old chum Marcie. I’m personally quite happy with the way it turned out, and the feedback from others has been great as well. It’s a proggy stormer which is coming out the UK based label Loverush Digital.
I’ll post again when the whole package/promo thing kicks into full swing. Well the promo has started and it’s taken off! Initial support coming all over from peeps such as Alan Tomlinson (Kiss 101), Mr Sam, Trisco, Mark Lewis, Seb Fontaine, Des Mitchel, Cassius Pickering (Gatecrasher), D:Fuse, Danny Dove, Femi Fem, Pedro Del Mar (Mellomania Germany), Corey Gibbons, Andrew Galea, Graham Sahara (Ibiza).
