Timothy Allan – ‘Au Naturale’

by TA on Sep.16, 2009, under Promo, TA

Here’s a progressive house track which will be making its debut appearance on a forthcoming compilation CD entitled “Exploring Australia” on Baroque Records. Baroque records continue the ‘exploring..’ series from Australia. This one is compiled by Matt Rowan, and it contains a whole lot of Australian based talent including the occasional immigrant like myself ;)

Making an appearance on the CD are the Progress Inn boys, who provided me with a fantastic remix for my “Buckyball” release on Beatgeek Records earlier on, Jaytech who needs no introduction, and even my chum Neon Stereo whom I remixed a while back with the “Discolights” track out on Play Digital. It’s a smorgasboard of Aussie action!

As well as a digital release, there is also going to be a USB stick and a physical CD which you can get your proggy mitts on after the release date. This is scheduled for release at the end of October 2009.

Update: It’s been released as BARQCD016 and is now available in digital and USB stick formats from http://www.baroquerecords.com

‘Superfine’ featured on Madonna’s EQ Sessions – Vol.1

by TA on Sep.14, 2009, under Hong Kong Blondes, Promo, Releases

From totally out of left field today I get a message saying that Madonna has picked a track a mate and I did as “The Hong Kong Blondes” to to appear on her new compilation CD. We released the track a few years ago, it had some ARIA chart success here in Australia, and then we never heard from it again… until now!

The always cool Madonna hand picked one of our tracks “Superfine” to be included on her latest CD compilation entitled “The EQ Sessions Vol. 1 Celebrity Sets”.

It’s exclusively mixed by Madonna and is available on iTunes now! Also included on the compilation are artists such as Daft Punk, Tiësto, Axwell and David Guetta! Massive.

Loverush UK! – ‘Fountains Of Youth’ (Timothy Allan Remix)

A while ago I was asked to do a remix for the re-release of the Loverush UK!  single ‘Fountains Of Youth’.

At the time I wasn’t aware of who the vocalist was on it, I just thought it was a great track. While I was working on it, I had some crazy Deja Vu. I knew I had worked with the vocalist before but couldn’t figure out where from.

After a bit of the google, I found out that the vocals were none other than the lovely Molly Bancroft (the voice behind Club Anthems such as Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Tracking Treasure Down’ and Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune Gianluca Motta’s ‘Not Alone’ on BBC Radio 1).

Way back when, I had entered a remix competition for G&D’s ‘Tracking Treasure Down’, a few months before that single was released… which I didn’t win! So now I get a second shot at remixing Bancroft. Ha.

It’s gaining huge support from international DJs including DJ Slang, Suzy Solar, Sapphirecut, DJ Vierro, Johan Gielan, Mazza & Martinelli, Matt Darey, Steve Smart, Menno De Jong, Roger Sanchez, Mark Brown (MYNC Project), Mike Pickering, Mark Robinson (Peppermint Jam), Pedro Del Mar, Aldrin Quek, mark Lewis, Mr Sam and the Sucker DJs to name a few.

There is a dub-strumental, plus a full vocal mix for a total bouncing house selection that caters to whatever type of crowd your playing for. :)

Update: The US Promotion has started through Sea to Sun Records, keep an ear open and an eye out for this new promo image!

Update Deux: It’s been released on Beatport and featured on the progressive house section. Check it out.

Update Three: It’s been released and promo’d worldwide now on iTunes and Amazon.

Check out the preview of my full vocal remix below.
